On August 28, CTTQ hosted the Tianqing Liver Disease Research Fund project summary and the second management and academic committee meeting in Lianyungang city. More than 100 domestic experts, including many professors specializing in liver diseases attended the meeting. 

At the meeting, CTTQ donated RMB 12.5 million (about 1.8 million dollars) to CFHPC (China Foundation for Hepatitis Prevention and Control). This contribution will be used for supporting China's primary doctors to carry out the clinical diagnosis and treatment research of liver diseases in the next 5 years,and improving the overall level of liver disease prevention and control in China.

 

 

Tianqing Liver Disease Research Fund was founded in 2011, at that time CTTQ donated RMB 10 million to CFHPC as the startup capital of the fund. In the past five years, more than 1100 doctors have submitted their project applications to the fund, with 71.6% of them coming from less developed areas in China.

 

 

At present, the fund covers 29 provinces, a total of more than 1100 middle-aged and young liver disease doctors have participated. In China, Tianqing Liver Disease Research Fund has been the most influential public welfare scientific research fund in the field of liver disease.
